On 15 June, BusinessEurope, the European business umbrella organisations, together with the two Swiss umbrella organisations, Swiss Employers’ Association and economiesuisse, called on the Swiss Federal Council and on the European Commission to quickly determine the next steps in the process of settling institutional issues in European policy.
At the same time, Switzerland must be able to participate again in the European research programme Horizon Europe.
economiesuisse and the Swiss Employers’ Association are very concerned about the progress of the exploratory talks between Switzerland and the EU so far and have repeatedly called for a rapid resumption of the negotiations.
The Federal Council will hold an exchange on the Swiss-EU relations on 17 June.
